Welcome to New Beginnings Lactation

A female nurse in navy scrubs with a pink stethoscope around her neck, sitting at a desk in a hospital or clinic room. There are signs and a mug on the desk that read related to nursing and lactation counseling. In the background, there is a bed and a sign that reads 'Empowering Women Supporting Goals'.

I’m Azarelle Ropchak, RN, IBCLC- a labor and delivery nurse and international board certified lactation consultant, serving families throughout Lake Havasu City. I’ve been a resident of Lake Havasu City, AZ since 1988 and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

My passion for supporting mothers and babies began long before my career in healthcare. As a mother myself, I was fortunate enough to breastfeed my four daughters for a combined total of four years. Through each experience, I saw first hand the beauty and challenges that can come with feeding and caring for a newborn. Those experiences shaped my heart for this work and ultimately inspired my career path.

I became a registered nurse with the goal of becoming an IBCLC because I recognized a deep need for compassionate, evidence-based breastfeeding support in our community. Too many mothers in rural areas like ours are left feeling overwhelmed, unsupported, or without access to reliable resources during one of the most vulnerable seasons of life.

My mission is to change that.

I am passionate about providing personalized, judgement-free care that empowers mothers and supports the entire family. Whether you are preparing for your first baby, navigating breastfeeding challenges, returning to work, or simply looking for reassurance and guidance, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, educated and confident in your feeding journey.

As both a healthcare professional and a mother, I understand that every family’s journey looks different. My goal is to meet you where you are with compassionate care, practical support, and encouragement tailored to your unique needs.

I look forward to walking alongside you during this special season of motherhood.
